Buttock Lift (BBL)
Gluteoplasty is a surgical procedure performed to lift the buttocks, and rarely to make the buttocks less prominent. The lower back, hip and buttock anatomies are treated as a whole. The process to be carried out is determined and a design suitable for the body of the person is made in accordance with the anatomical factors. Surgical procedures performed in gluteoplasty are liposuction-lipofilling, stretching and silicone implant placement. Generally fat is taken from the back, belly and lower back region, and then is injected into the buttocks region. However, if there is not enough fat in the patient, buttock augmentation is performed with silicon buttock implants by performing a second procedure. Gluteoplasty is a surgical procedure performed under general or local anesthesia. The operation time usually ranges from 1 to 1.5 hours. The operation lasts about 4 hours, and the patient needs to stay in the hospital overnight. The patient can easily return to work 5 days after surgery.
As recommended in all surgeries, you have to stop smoking and the use of aspirin, blood thinners and other similar substances 3 week before gluteoplasty surgery. You need to use certain pain reliever drugs including Apranax, Vermidon, Voltaren, etc.. If you need to use any other pain reliever drug, you can use Novalgin and Minoset. You should also avoid using multivitamin pills, herbal products such as flaxseed, green tea, tomato seeds and cherry stalks, and all weight loss products.
Gluteoplasty is a surgical procedure performed under general anesthesia. This surgical procedure takes about 1.5 hours, on average. The patient can be discharged on the day of surgery or the next day after the surgery. Since all sutures remain under the skin, there is no need to remove sutures. Patients should not lie on their back, for the first two days. Patients are then allowed to sit, and they can easily take shower. After the first postoperative week, the patient can get back to his/her normal life; however, she needs to wait a month for heavy sports activities.
Buttock implants are initially felt but they will normally become imperceptible over time (approximately 2 months after the gluteoplasty surgery). Then the patient will feel the implants as if they were parts of his/her body.
The result of reshaping of the lower back and buttocks, and the effect of buttock implants are permanent. Suspension operations involving the removal of excess skin are also effective, which give permanent results. Patients should watch their weight, maintain their skincare routine, and do regular exercise, in order to be able to sustain the nice result obtained with surgery.
Of course, gluteoplasty performed on women differs from gluteoplasty performed on men. Men often feel uncomfortable with the bigness of their buttocks, whereas women feel uncomfortable with the smallness of their buttocks. Therefore, gluteoplasty surgery is performed in line with the demands of men and women.
